| CARL KEESEE is an extraordinary musician.
He was born in Oklahoma and studied music at university in Texas. Carl started his professional career as a member of the group Lazarus. In association with Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary, Lazarus moved to Woodstock, N.Y., signing with the newly formed Bearsville Records label (distributed by Warner Bros. Records), under the direction of Albert Grossman. Two albums were recorded and released on Bearsville, produced by Peter Yarrow and Phil Ramone. In the next four years, Lazarus and Lazarus II (with David Bradstreet and Lee Shively) performed extensively throughout the United States and Canada. In 1976 LAZARUS won the Clio Award for "Lifesavers" Best Commercial of the Year which ran nine years nationwide. Carl spent many cold years in Canada as part of David Bradstreet's band and a member of the Florida Razors with Tom Wilson. He currently resides in warm Texas and is part of the vibrant Austin music scene.
