GOOD NIGHT, SLEEP TIGHT
Sometimes, despite a parent's best efforts, it can seem impossible to get your baby to sleep - even the gentlest of lullabies may not help. Good Night, Sleep Tight was created for times like these. Think of these relaxing, original pieces as extra-strength lullabies. This comforting blend of music and heartbeat sounds is scientifically designed to help put baby to sleep, while relaxing you as well. Sweet dreams!
What makes Good Night, Sleep Tight special?
1. The instruments were carefully selected to be easily heard by infant ears.
2. The music was designed with simple, repetative melodies that appeal to your child's developing mind and then lull it with familiarity. This helps to distract your child from fears, sleep anxieties, or even minor discomforts.
3. Regular, rhythmic pulses of sound were incorporated into the music and designed to match the frequency of a sleeping baby's brainwaves. During sleep, babies' brainwaves 'pulse' about three times per second. So if a musical sound hits your baby's ear three times per second, the 'message' from the auditory nerve matches this sleeping state and helps your baby fall asleep.
4. While optimized for children, the soothing music can also relax you, the parent, which in turn, calms your child.
5. This album is structured to gradually ease your baby into restful sleep:
- Track 1 is designed to get baby's attention. It provides the ideal opportunity to take baby to a window, look at the sky, talk about the stars and tell him or her it's time for bed.
- Tracks 2-4 feature heartbeat sounds and music with a regular 'sleeping' pulse, ideal for rocking or walking with your child.
- Tracks 5-9 feature a gradually slowing pulse and a rhythm designed to gently lull baby's brain towards sleep.
- Tracks 10 and 11 continue the pulse with an audible heartbeat, leaving baby with this most familiar, comforting sound.

Helpful Advice for Using Good Night, Sleep Tight
1. Create a soothing environment:
- Make sure that your baby is comfortable.
- Adjust the volume on your stereo to a medium level. If the music is too quiet, it will not have the desired, engaging effect.
2. Hold your baby close and move to the music:
- Babies held close can hear their parent's heartbeat. This sound was a part of your baby's environment for months before birth and will continue to impart comfort and security.
- Rock or walk your baby to the rhythmic pulse of the music to increase its calming effect.
3. Create a predictable environment:
- Listen to Good Night, Sleep Tight regularly at bedtime to create a familiar, comforting atmosphere.
- Encourage babysitters to use Good Night, Sleep Tight to create the same familiar environment.
