Nancy and Alannah Myles are winners of the 2010 USA Songwriting Contest for "Give Me Love". "DANCER", a new theatre production by Jim Betts (writer) and Marek Norman (composer), was presented as a workshop at the National Ballet Prima Studio on June 30 - with twelve dancers, eight principals, the band which included David as guitar player, and numerous key team members including Stacey Tookey, choreographer and Morris Panych, director. David produced the songs in his studio for use in this production. If all goes according to plan, "Dancer" will be staged in May of 2014, the fiftieth anniversary of Northern Dancer's win at the Kentucky Derby. A very exciting production - watch here for more news. He performed aboard the MS Expedition which crossed the Drake Passage from the tip of South America and ventured into the Antarctic Peninsula. See here for pictures from this memorable journey. This CD was recorded live-off-the-floor (vocal, guitars and bass) in three days. Only some guitar overdubs and background vocals were added. As well as his own original compositions, this recording includes songs that he has co-written with Robert Priest, Rob Lamothe and Jason Fowler.
